Responsibilities may be tailored to the selected candidate\u2019s interests and skills. This internship offers hands-on experience in legislative research, policy development, and political organizing, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with Council Members, staff, and advocacy partners to advance the policy priorities of the Caucus<\/p>\n<p><strong>SALARY RANGE<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Hourly rate of $32.05<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct research and analysis of City budget documents, legislation, and policy reports in support of the Caucus\u2019s legislative and budget priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and communicate with Council Members\u2019 offices on shared initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Assist&nbsp;in planning hearings, briefings, advocacy events, and Caucus meetings, including developing materials such as lines-of-questioning and run-of-show documents.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain internal tracking systems, including legislative tracking, policy and budget analyses, and stakeholder engagement records.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Engage with external stakeholders and advocacy partners in coordination with the Executive Director.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Support communications efforts as needed, including drafting social media content, creating graphics and videos, and updating the Caucus website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work&nbsp;independently&nbsp;and manage tasks with minimal supervision.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Availability to work 14\u201320 hours per week in a hybrid work environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New York City residency is required within 90 days of appointment.<\/p>\n<p>For eligible employees, health, dental and vision insurance coverage are offered upon hire.
