Information Technology also oversees and manages all aspects of computer operations, including network systems administration, network security, helpdesk support and overall maintenance of Council\u2019s Local Area (LAN) and Wide Area (WAN) Networks.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Specialist to work with the team in the Information Technology Division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SALARY RANGE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>$80,000 to $95,000<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide comprehensive technical support for computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications used by Council staff.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver on-site and remote technical support at Council Member offices and special events throughout the five boroughs of New York City.<\/li>\n<li>Work a five-day schedule that may include Saturdays and\/or Sundays, based on operational needs.<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose, analyze, and resolve end-user hardware and software issues in a timely and effective manner.<\/li>\n<li>Implement end-to-end solutions to restore system functionality and minimize service disruptions.<\/li>\n<li>Provide responsive and professional technical assistance to both internal and external users.<\/li>\n<li>Follow established Information Technology policies, procedures, problem-management protocols, and documentation standards.<\/li>\n<li>Support users across multiple office locations and remote environments.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a structured, analytical, and disciplined approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other related duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Valid New York State driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<li>Three to five years of experience in a Help Desk or technical support role.<\/li>\n<li>Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with users at all levels.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365 (Office 365), and Windows Active Directory.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of TCP\/IP, LAN troubleshooting, DNS, DHCP, VOIP systems, Citrix environments, Wi-Fi, printers, and mobile device support.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting macOS environments is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For eligible employees, health, dental and vision insurance coverage are offered upon hire.
