The New York City Council’s Administrative Services Division is seeking an experienced Supply Coordinator who will be responsible for preparing purchasing documents.

SALARY RANGE:

$60,000 to $60,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implements and monitors the maintenance of stockroom inventory, which includes maintaining adequate stock of office supplies and ensuring that the needs of The Council are met by ordering and distributing supplies as needed.

  • Maintains supply inventory.
  • Ensures that staff are compliant with the supply request process.
  • Distribute supplies as needed for City Hall Speakers Office.
  • Distribute supplies as needed for 250 Central Staff and Council Member Offices.
  • Work with Purchasing Department on supply order requests.
  • Input and Tracking of all supply inventory.
  • Regularly communicate with Central Staff and Council Staff by telephone, e-mail or in person with scheduling pick-up of orders and proclamations.
  • Accept all package deliveries and coordinate distribution with staff.
  • Assists when needed with mailroom deliveries, copy requests and projects as they arise.
  • Hours of coverage 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid project management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Asset Tracking and Recordkeeping.
  • Must be able to function effectively under pressure; requires attention to detail and considerable follow-up.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs and practice safe lifting/moving skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

New York City residency required within 90 days of appointment.
