At a public meeting on July 19, the LPC decided it would take no action regarding the hardship application until after Labor Day.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The West Park Presbyterian Church is an extraordinary building in an extraordinary location, and a unique example of religious architecture that has stood for generations.<\/p>\n

Something about this church captures the imagination, and for many of people on the Upper West Side it is a symbol of being home.<\/p>\n

Council Member Gale Brewer led the effort to landmark the West Park Presbyterian Church, and is now fighting to protect the building from demolition. Please get involved to help save this community treasure and ensure the hardship application is rejected.<\/p>\n
