Louis (D-Brooklyn)<\/strong>&nbsp;issued the following statement after 24-year-old Saqueo Mejia, a dump truck driver for Brooklyn-based Prime Junk Removal was killed when he was pinned between two of the trucks in Flatbush. The accident is under investigation by the NYPD.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>STATEMENT BY COUNCIL MEMBER LOUIS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;On Friday, Saqueo Mejia, a resident of Sunset Park was killed tragically in East Flatbush, where he worked as a dump truck driver to support his family. His pursuit of the American Dream has come to a devastating end in an accident that could have been avoided.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I am working with Council Member Carlos Menchaca and the local precinct to address this matter and assist the affected family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;As the NYPD conduct their investigation, my thoughts and prayers are with the Mejia family, who have lost a son, brother, and breadwinner.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>New York City Council Member Farah N.
