Dinowitz voices outrage over former State Assemblymember Dov Hikind, U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin and Guardian Angels\u2019 founder Curtis Sliwa\u2019s press conference following anti-Semitic attacks<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Bronx, N.Y. – Following a string of attacks in which rocks were thrown through the windows of Riverdale synagogues, State Assemblymember Dov Hikind, U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin and Guardian Angels\u2019 founder Curtis Sliwa held a press conference outside of the Riverdale Jewish Center, yesterday, April 29th, 2021. In response, Council Member Eric Dinowitz, whose district includes the Riverdale neighborhood, issued the following statement:<\/p>\n \u201cOur community is still shaken by the attacks on our synagogues, and we do not deserve to be used as a campaign stop,\u201d said Council Member Eric Dinowitz.<\/strong> \u201cI am outraged that members of the Republican Party would engage in such blatant opportunism under the guise of supporting the Riverdale Jewish community. I will work with anyone willing to take on the fight against anti-semitism, however, yesterday\u2019s press conference was nothing more than a dishonest attempt to push a conservative agenda.\u201d <\/p>\n Council Member Eric Dinowitz was recently elected to the City Council in the March 23rd special election.
