Our district has many tree beds with live trees that are not protected by tree guards, which help minimize soil compaction and protect trees from physical harm and pet waste. A $120,000 allocation would provide funding for 75 tree guards throughout District 35. The playground serves children throughout the neighborhood, including neighboring students of PS 20. The park is also home to one of the only public minipools in the area. Clara Barton High School\u2019s Dental Technology Lab offers hands-on experience to learn the skills necessary to work in a dental lab. Currently, their shared cafeteria needs repairs and upgrades. A $500,000 allocation would partially fund renovations, modernizing the outdated 1960s interior to create a safer, more functional workspace. It would also upgrade lighting and electrical systems to improve energy efficiency, reliability, and safety, ensuring the station meets modern demands.
