Constantinides Hosts Graffiti Cleanup
Astoria, N.Y. – New York City Council Member Costa Constantinides, along with the 114th Precinct Civilian Observation Patrol, hosted a graffiti cleanup on 30th Avenue. Volunteers painted storefront pull-down gates that had been tagged by graffiti.
“It takes the help and cooperation of everyone to keep our neighborhood clean,” said Constantinides. “As we continue with our Keep Astoria Clean campaign, we are working with groups like the 114th Precinct Civ-Obs Patrol to make our storefronts look beautiful and free of graffiti. The clean storefronts are a benefit to small business owners and to our entire community. I thank the 114th Precinct Civ-Obs Patrol board members and all our volunteers for helping to keep Astoria clean.”
Costa Constantinides represents the New York City Council’s 22nd District, which includes his native Astoria along with parts of Woodside, East Elmhurst, and Jackson Heights. He serves as the chair the City Council’s Sub-Committee on Libraries and sits on seven standing committees: Civil Service & Labor, Contracts, Cultural Affairs, Environmental Protection, Oversight & Investigations, Sanitation, and Transportation.
