Constantinides and DenDekker Host Government On Your Corner
Elected Officials Provide Free Community Shredding
Jackson Heights, N.Y. – New York City Council Member Costa Constantinides (D-Astoria) and Assembly Member Michael DenDekker (D-East Elmhurst) met with residents of Jackson Heights today at a “Government On Your Corner” event that included free paper shredding services. Constituents came to speak with the elected officials and also brought their important documents for shredding.
“I enjoyed meeting and speaking with residents about important issues facing our community,” said Constantinides. “We had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with residents and provide free document shredding – a great protection against identity theft. Thank you to Assembly Member DenDekker for co-hosting this event with us.”
“I was glad to see so many people come out to both speak with Councilman Constantinides and I and take advantage of the free paper shredding,” said DenDekker. “These events provide an important opportunity for members of the community to speak with their elected officials about the issues that matter most to them. I always look forward to listening to what people have to say, and I’m proud that we are able to provide these services for the community.”
