Oss\u00e9 is the Co-Chair of the Brooklyn Delegation and LGBTQIA+ Caucus. His work focuses on implementing innovative, human-centered public safety solutions and on investing in solving New York\u2019s housing crisis. More broadly, he recognizes the immense power of municipal spending and is an outspoken advocate for budget justice.<\/p>\n
In his first term, he passed life-saving legislation to provide anti-overdose medication to bars and nightlife establishments across the city, and a legislative package to tackle Gotham\u2019s Public Enemy Number One: rats. <\/p>\n
He also won a protracted battle against the landlord lobby to pass Intro 360<\/a>, the Fairness in Apartment Rental Expenses (FARE) Act. This landmark law ends the exploitative practice of forcing tenants to pay broker fees for apartments they found without ever hiring a broker.
