Manhattan Delegation

If you are seeking city funding this year (FY2012), you are invited to submit application materials to the Manhattan Delegation of the New York City Council.

As in past years, the Manhattan Delegation will accept expense and capital funding proposals from eligible organizations. The Manhattan Delegation is not scheduling meetings with individual non-profit organizations on expense and capital requests for funding, but we will review all submissions.

Please read carefully the instructions below about the expense and capital application process, as each type of funding has a different deadline. Note that expense and capital applications will only be accepted electronically this year. A group may make both an expense and a capital request. Please do not include any additional pages or materials with your submission.

In order to request expense funding from the Delegation, please submit a completed expense funding request form onlineat http://council.nyc.gov/html/budget/council-disclosure-application.shtml. Please note that applicants must also submit signed and notarized documents which become available after the online application is completed. These forms are to be mailed to Scott Crowley, NYC Council, Finance Division, 250 Broadway, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10007. This application must be completed, and the notarized documents postmarked by Thursday, March 24, 2011.

Applicants may apply for expense funds from the Manhattan Delegation and individual Council Members via the same application, as long as the funding request (amount and purpose) is the same. Applicants interested in applying for funding to individual Council Members should also check with each individual Council office on their application process as Members may have different submission dates than the Manhattan Delegation and may require additional materials.

In order to be eligible to receive capital funding, groups must submit a Manhattan Delegation Capital Request form, which can be found here in either a Word document or Adobe pdf format. The Capital Request form must be returned as a pdf via email to manhattandelegation@council.nyc.govby April 1, 2011.

Submission of this Capital Request form is the only document required for city capital funding requests (i.e., for property owned and used by the City).

For non-city capital funding requests (i.e., for property not owned by the City or property owned by the City but leased to a non-profit organization), groups are required to submit a) the Manhattan Delegation Capital Request form via email by April 1, 2011 and b) a Non-City Capital Form, which can be found at http://www.nyc.gov/html/nccr/. The Non-City Capital Form must be submitted electronically by April 8, 2011.
