Budget Transparency Initiative

The City Council has adopted a $59 billion budget for Fiscal Year 2008. We look forward to your feedback on how the Council is using the budget to provide City services and to address the needs of New York's diverse communities.

Over the course of the year, the Council will use this web site to provide further information about Council spending and agency and program spending and effectiveness. By detailing how each agency spends its budget and by publishing performance benchmarks, the Budget Transparency Initiative will bring greater accountability to the delivery of City services. You may sign up to receive emails when new information about the FY 08 budget is released.
